Scott Solace Disc has been designed to offer comfort and performance without sacrificing power transfer e L'Handling on the road. To reach all this the engineers Scott They worked on a two specific areas construction, to improve comfort and power transfer - comfort zone and power zone. However, they did not stop there: the Solace offers an endurance geometry that increases comfort in the saddle even after many hours.

Ruined roads, Marathon races, long days- all things for which Solace 10 disc was specifically created. The HMF carbon fiber frame was designed in two differentiated areas, power and comfort zones to create a rigid and reactive bicycle but that you do not get tired even after long hours on the street.

This specific double zone conception involves greater vertical absorption in the upper portion, while the lower part is more rigid to guarantee effectiveness even on the most rough funds. Thanks to the oversized central movement you will have a rigid and flexion -free chariot. You will be sure not to lose precious Watts even in the longest paths on different funds.

Technologies

TAPERED HEADUBE
Engineers Scott They designed the rear triangle in order to offer vertical absorption while maintaining excellent torsional rigidity. From the central movement to the swingarings a structure capable of resisting without a bra with a controlled deformation has been created. Then adding the bra to the system, it was made to follow the same deformation also to the bra, thus offering a perfect synergy. The same technique has been applied to the design of the fork to balance the best L'Handling and sensations, keeping a precise turning.

TAPERED SEATTUBE
The junction between central movement and saddle tube has been extended to ensure high lateral rigidity and maximize the transfer of power.

Asymmetric Design
Solace can be defined as the perfect balance between power transfer and comfort. To achieve this perfection, the rear wagon has an asymmetrical design - the transmission that is positioned on the right side affects in a different way on the distribution of weights. Instead of strengthening the right side of the rear fork, subject to major loads, the section of the tube has been optimized in specific areas.

Oversized Bottom Bracket
The BB86 Press-Fit central movement is wider than the previous BB to offer greater rigidity and maximize the transfer of power thanks to the more robust connections of the saddle tube and the transversal tube.

SDS-Shock Damping System
Since most of the comfort of a road frame depends on the rear triangle, the SDS (Shock Damping System) system has been developed to obtain the best performance of this specific frame portion. Forcellini are designed to work together with the saddle tube, with a reduced diameter to offer greater absorption and effectiveness.

Solace Geometry
Solace's geometry takes into account the most raised position of endurance cyclists. This position is less tiring for the back and neck and helps the cyclist to enjoy many hours in the saddle.

Bi-Zone Construction
Solace can be seen as the fusion of two parts of the frame. While the comfort zone ensures comfortable pedaling thanks to the absorption of vibrations and roughness of the soil, the Power Zone instead provides to ensure torsional rigidity and maximum performance regarding the transfer of power from the pedals to the ground. Clearly, comfort and power must both be considered in the development of a bicycle. Based on different construction choices L'Balance between the two things leads to a worsening of one or the other. This is the reason why the engineers Scott They spent a lot of time to develop different prototypes and collect cyclists feedback. These extensive tests have made it possible to find the best balance between comfort and power transfer capacity to the ground.
